Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The master bedroom has a natural, but decadent feel. With its king sized bed, sumptuous in-room feature bath and even its own private deck area complete with hot tub! In the second bedroom, the bunkbeds can accommodate two further guests, and are a fun, cosy space to snuggle into after a day’s adventuring. As well as the stylish bath in the Master bedroom, you’ll also find a separate W/C and shower room.
Outside Area
Hares Hideaway has two distinct outside areas for you to relax in and enjoy. On the main covered deck there’s a BBQ and outside dining space for you to unwind in. Behind the cabin, there is another private deck area that contains your cabin’s hot tub.
Facilities & Services
On arrival you’ll find a scrummy home-made cake. All our cabins & treehouses have access to Malting Farm’s communal areas, which includes a zip wire, nature trail and paddleboarding and fishing lake. We also have a small honesty shop on site that is stocked with essentials and treats to help you settle in.
Optional Extras
• Cycling
Hire some ‘wheels’ to help you explore the local area! We have adult’s and child’s bikes available to hire for a morning or an afternoon session. For those wanting to go a little further afield, you can also hire them for a full day. To reserve your bikes, simply add to your booking or alternatively book them on arrival, but please note that you must bring your own helmets.
• Paddleboarding
If you’re looking for a fun, energetic activity right on your doorstep; why not try your hand at a spot of paddleboarding on our reservoir? You can pre-book your life-jackets and paddleboards for a 2-hour slot when you make your booking or on arrival, but please note that hire is on a first come, first serve basis. We also ask you to ensure children are supervised on and around the reservoir at all times, that life jackets MUST be worn on the paddleboards, and that paddleboards are not taken off of the farm. If you are swimming you must also always wear a lifejacket.
• NEW! WingFoiling, E-Foiling & Paddleboarding Lessons
If you’re looking to try an exciting new sport or improve on your existing skills; why not book an adventure with our friends from Winging It Watersports. Their fantastically fun paddleboarding, e-foiling and wingsurfing or super trendy wingfoiling lessons are easy to book and come with all the equipment you need. You can learn all the basics on the Malting Farm lake next to your cabin, before heading out to over 35 miles of Essex sunshine coast!

• Fishing
Our stunning reservoir is regularly re-stocked with fish and we welcome you to bring your fishing equipment with you when you come to stay. Fishing is free on the reservoir, but please be aware that paddleboarders take priority (even if you are already there fishing). If you fancy casting a line during your stay, please make sure you’ve packed your own equipment and bait.
